I was lucky enough to have Mother’s Day off this year. I slept in and woke up to the sound of my husband cooking me breakfast. I looked to the left to Mia’s crib, and she was quietly playing and letting me sleep. My husband, Mia, and I had breakfast, and Mia sat still in her chair “reading” a magazine.

Afterwards, my husband took me to Forever 21 to do a little shopping. We went to my mom’s house after and ended up at the mall, where I also ended up buying a few things at Macy’s, including birthday presents for all the little tots’ parties that we’ll be attending for the month of May.

Speaking of birthday parties for May, my little Mia is turning one this month. Time has definitely gone by so fast! I’m still preparing all the little details, which is keeping me busy. I’ve sent out her pictures to get printed, ordered her cake, booked the photo booth, contracted the moon jumps & cotton candy machine, so tomorrow, I’m just pending for the dessert table labels as well as the banner. It’s quite hectic, but my family & close girlfriends are helping me continue with the planning, especially since the spontaneous trip to the Philippines after my surgery happened and left me way behind schedule.

And, yes, I do wear flats, especially these.
