Button Down: Rue 21; Sleeveless Trench: Forever 21
I’ve never really been a big fan of knee high boots. It has something to do with my calves. I often have a hard time finding a pair that fits over them. While playing basketball in high school, I would pride myself in being able to squat over 200 lbs, and it showed with my legs. My brother gave me the nickname thunder thighs and for as long as I can remember, I always had muscular calves.
Having that dilemma, I was pretty excited when these boots from Forever 21 fit me perfectly. Not only are they comfortable, they are two-toned, which is something I had on my wishlist for fall / winter wear.
Every time there is a cold front, you can be sure that I’ll be rocking these boots wherever I go!
Heck, I’ll probably wear them even when it’s 90 degrees outside just because I can.
What are you favorite boots for this fall / winter season?

I’m A Slave For You . . .
No matter how hard I try, I always revert back to my colors. Even my monochromatic looks have revolved around bright colors as opposed to your typical black and white. And although fall is coming soon, I believe that I will still wear bright colors in the fall / winter season.
The top has a bit of a tribal print going with its neckline. I like the trend, but I just didn’t like how tribal prints look on me, especially as bottoms. There was a pair of leggings at a local boutique that I was *this* close to getting because it was on sale for less than $10. I eventually decided against it and put the item back in the rack. I still see it when I go back to visit the store.
As much as I try to be up-to-date with the most recent trends, I try not to be a slave to them. It’s always better to translate a look into your own style and own it than just dabbling in it because it’s what’s popular. Just because it works on others, it may not on you.
What I Wore:

- Skirt: A’Gaci (Similar) (Similar)

What do you think of this year’s trends? Do you follow all of them?

The Club Is JUMPin’ JUMPin’
I’ve been vocal about how much the blogging world has opened my eyes to pieces that I never would have thought of wearing before. I’ve gained more confidence from everybody’s feedback and have developed an understanding on what I can or can not wear.
I never thought that jumpsuits would fall in the former category, but Toni inspired me to wear this.
I decided to go for it now that I don’t have to take as many trips to the bathroom since giving birth. It’s actually quite comfortable, and I was genuinely surprised at how much I loved wearing it.
I have a newfound confidence that I can wear anything if I style it to fit my personality & body.
Well, maybe not . . . I don’t know if I can rock booty shorts.
What I Wore:
- Shoes: Liliana (Love These)
- Jumpsuit: Forever 21 (Similar)
- Blazer: Dots (Similar) (Like These)
- Bag: R+J (I Wish!) (Actual On Sale)
- Bracelets: Forever 21 (Similar)
What do you think of jumpsuits? Would you wear them?
Someone wanted to show her most recent outfit to everybody. Daddy bought her a new hat at Janie & Jack recently, and she was more than happy to “model” it! She’s growing so fast and has developed a distinct personality. I love the fourth picture, so I had to include it!
