Looking Back . . .

I have 11 straight days of work before we go to Austin for my husband’s basketball tournament. What used to be an easy “weekend trip” for us before is now a full blown vacation weekend. I have to start packing now since I’m packing for not 1, not 2, but 3 people this time. I have to make sure we bring everything for Mia since this is going to be her first road trip. It’s about a 5-hour drive from our hometown to the capital city.

I have a big calendar on my wall at work where I mark all the days that I’ve worked with x’s.

My preceptee asked me, “You’re going to Austin next weekend, huh?”

I looked at her surprised, “How did you know?”

She laughed, “You only have it in big, bold, red letters on your calendar there.”

I realized that I did write it in that way.

I guess it was just the excitement that I felt knowing that I had a few days off to just enjoy my family without having to worry about dealing with insurance companies and possibly being yelled at by a physician. I mean, I’ve been signing up for so many weekends that I almost forgot what it feels like to have one off.

With that said, I thought I would jump on the bandwagon and look back on what I wore last year in 2012. Half the year, I was pregnant, and the second half, I became a brand new mother dealing with work, hubs, & baby and finding the right balance between all three and then some!

I had so much fun putting all these looks together! It was definitely great looking back! :)
